After seeing “Julia, Julia” at the movie theatre one hot summer day with my then-budding chef, Will, I became obsessed with butter. I sought out recipes and blogs that were all about the decadent treat. Once feeling it was nothing but a block of fat, I did a 180 on the yummy gift from cows. I bought butter in 4 lbs not just 1 lb. If my supply in the fridge went to 3 lbs, I ran out to get that 4th lb, just to be sure I had enough on hand at all times.

Since then I have become passionate about butter dishes. The past couple of years many a hours have been spent creating butter dishes out of clay. The journey has been fun and continues. Here are a few examples of my dishes that hold the food that makes everything taste better.
