I have been taking a break from knitting for profit lately. Instead I have been finding joy knitting gifts for friends and for a local non-profit group that is a safe haven for battered and abused women and children. It brings me such joy to deliver them knitted and sewn goodies for the folks there who have fallen on hard times. I hope it brings a glimmer of some better things to come.

I really love making these salt pig cellars as they are challenging yet ever so rewarding when they look just so sitting on the stove top with wooden spoon sticking out – ready for the next pinch of salt for that special soup or whatever is cooking.
