I must apologize for my long hiatus from writing here.
I have a good reason. My back. My back. My back. Well, actually the back involved a lot of pain and left me slightly insane.
Finally, I made the decision to take the plunge after 20 years off and on having back pain extending down my leg…..I had magical hands surgically fix my back. If you know me, I have never elected to have surgery in the past. So, you know this was B-A-D.
And now I am all G-O-O-D!
Today I picked the first beans of the season!
With the help of my wonderful husband and son, I was able to plant a vegetable garden. We have been enjoying lettuce, herbs and broccoli since April. Now we are getting into our beans, and I ate from the vine my first sun gold tomatoes! Yum!
Since my back has been whacky, I have taken to more hand building pottery. Here are some samples of what I have been making.
All of these and more will be for sale and show at the upcoming Cape Ann Ceramics’ Arts Festival. The show I will be featured in is the “Art of the Possible: All Clay Inclusive” August 23-25, 2013.
More to come on that.
Later this week, I will be picking 4 lucky subscribers for my giveaways as I have been off the radar since April. Giveaways will be all pottery.
Enjoy these lazy days of summer.
